Ready to Roll Marder 3s

 Dan and myself are planning a Rapid Fire game at the Grimsby Wargames Society ciub in a couple of weeks time. We are looking to use one of the scenarios from Richard Marsh and Colin Rumfords excelent Normandy Battlegames scenario book. The one we are going for is Across The Elle- June13th/14th 1944. Looking at the orbat we realised niether of us had a Marder self propelled gun! Looking through my resin stash I realised I had 2 of the Raventhorpe/ Ready To Roll models. These are avilable from the Rapid fire website  www.rapid-fire-uk.com/product/marder-iii-m-75mm-tank-destroyer/ Very good wargaming models with very little cleaning up required.

Continuing the WW2 US theme here is a Ready to Roll M20.

Possibly use this as part of a command unit or recce for a tank destroyer unit. All done barr flocking the base.

WW2 scratch game , using Rapid Fire.

 Had a short notice, bring what you fancy Rapid fire game using my Americans and Danny's late war Germans. All terrain provided by Grimsby Wargames Club . I arrived first and set up the table. I thought it would be a good idea to place a river and 2 bridges, somthing I immediately regretted once we started the game.

  

All in all a good game, called it a draw  as the Germans had lost 1 infantry battalion and the 2nd was stretched quite thinly and the Americans had got a toe hold in the town but had yet to take control of it. The rivers seriously impeded the American advance so their armour was relegated to a supporting roll, leaving the infantry to gain control of the bridges.

Sibret, Rapid Fire Game.

Once again a game slightly out of scale, this time 20mm world war 2. This was based on the Sibret scenario from the "Battle of the Bulge" scenario book using  Rapid Fire WW2 rules.

Close game came down to the last turn but the Americans left it too late and it ended a draw. Figures by my self and Danny, terrain and buildings belong to the Grimsby club.
